It all started in 1963, when 13 year old Steve Schilling talked his father Herb into buying a property at Buckeye Lake. From then on, the family would take frequent trips from their home in Columbus. In 1977 Steve moved to the lake and has been a full time resident ever since. For 50 years Steve has committed himself into giving back to the Buckeye Lake community that has given him so much.

Fritz, his son, was born and raised at the lake. He has been a resident for 35 years and hopes to continue the tradition of community building.
